Friendly place with delicious sandwiches. I had the clam chowder sourdough bread bowl. The bread was really good, with a nice crunch on the crust. Son and husband had chicken pesto sandwiches and gave a thumbs up.

I was looking for something quick and easy while waiting for someone to finish an appointment. I had tried a few other places but they were all busy or closed, and I ended up here since they open early. What a pleasant surprise! Nosa served me, and she did a great job. She had a large to-go order that she was working on when I came in, and seemed to be the only one working, but she was so kind and helpful as I learned what the options are here since it was my first time in. Considering the other order she was working on, she had my food ready quickly. I got the tomato bisque and made a grilled cheese with the build-your-own sandwich menu. They have a great selection of meats and cheeses for sandwiches, and I definitely want to come back when I'm looking for something more substantial to try some of the other menu items, although what I had was very tasty. Of course the bread is sourdough, but you can also opt for marble rye or honey wheat for no extra charge, which is so rare. I got my grilled cheese with the marble rye, and it was great. The bisque had a light seasoning to it, so it was very flavorful. Nosa even toasted my sandwich a little extra so it would be more grilled cheese-like, and she added some Parmesan to the soup. It was so good, and I really appreciated that extra customer service to make my food as yummy as possible. I don't know how long this has been around, but it is great to have in the area and I look forward to coming back. My only negative comment, and this has nothing to do with the individual store but to regional or corporate, the sandwiches are a bit pricey, although probably worth it if getting meat. If someone is not getting meat, though, I think there is wiggle-room for sandwiches to be a little cheaper.

I have eaten at a few of these sandwich shops. Each one of them has been great. The selection of meats and other ingredients are the standard, but it's the way they put them together, especially with their homemade bread. The bread is the key! Customer service always seems to be top-notch with the staff always making sure that you like what you ordered. I always eaten inside and it's very spacious and they always have a few seats out front. They definitely do their share of to-go orders. When I'm in the mood for a good sandwich, I will go out of my way to eat at West Coast Sourdough anytime.

The customer service is terrific and sandwiches are delicious . What sets this sandwich shop apart from the rest is the bread. It is the real deal sourdough bread. Ohh it has a great chew, slight tangy taste, crisp top crust, and delightful fermented smell. So much deliciousness. They even sell individual loaves. My go to choices are the hot sandwiches. They have ruben, hot pastrami, French dip, and garlic pesto. I have had them all. To hard to choose a favorite, all so good. They also have cold sandwiches, soups, salads, cookies and chips. The clam chowder is tasty. So tasty that my LI self is willing to take a lactaid pill to enjoy the clam chowder. The Greek salad is my favorite salad there. Mmm... loaded with fresh ingredients and served with a delicious dressing. The sandwiches come in three sizes. The 4 inch is around $6.29. Not a bad price for what you get. The sandwiches come with free spreads, fixings, and a slice of cheese. They have indoor dining which is kept very clean. The decor is modern. Ambiance is pleasant. And just to echo again, the staff has always provided top notch service.

French Dip 6" $9.99: So my favorite French Dip type sandwich is Quiznos because I love their peppercorn sauce, however if I could take that sauce plus West Coast's sandwich I think I'd have perfection. The bread was perfectly crispy and the au jus was very flavorful. Luckily my soup came with more bread for me to dip in the au jus before I drank the remainder. Cream of Potato cup $6.25: Soup is a bit pricy for the portion, and I didn't find the taste worth it. I found the 6" sandwich filling enough so I'd probably skip on soup next time. It is a better deal if you do the soup + fountain drink meal add on for the sandwich, but they serve Pepsi products here which is a no for me. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

Great service and food quality each of the visits to date. Reliable options that I love. Got the #2 roast beef with a salad (forgot to take photo of that). Easy to order in store and get it quickly. This time I took out of store. But there is good amount seating indoors and a few tables outside when the weather is nice.

2/14/2023: I ordered the following--Pastrami on Rye, tossed salad with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a cold drink. The entire sandwich combo meal was absolutely filling, i.e., wonderful; the Rye bread was moist while the Pastrami was tender. Seriously, I couldn't inhale the other half of the Pastrami on Rye sandwich and the salad, too . . . Therefore, I'll inhale both tomorrow for my second lunch! BTW: For some reason, I truly thought this was a Poke restaurant I visited in 2020; however, I really don't know anymore~lol since, I moved to Placerville, i.e., I rarely visit this area of Folsom. Nevertheless, I'll return to WCS when I visit Folsom in the future.

I'd have to give this a solid 4-stars. The Good: - The sourdough clam chowder was delicious! The bread was warm and toasty. The OK: - The southwest chicken salad was decent. I'd probably come back just for the chowder.
